A couple skateboarders met me at a playground in Wentzville so I could shoot some action shots using off camera flash. I had my 580ex mounted on a tripod off to my side and used Pocket Wizards to remotely fire them. With some high shutter speeds, high speed sync, and a lot of luck, we got quite a few very cool action shots. These guys were great skateboarders and I learned a lot about the sport from them. I did a little experimenting with cross processing and textures and you can see them all on my flickr site. But here's one that I loved. I knew as soon as I snapped the camera that it was my favorite shot of the day. It's almost like he's hanging from the sun.
